Claire Bennett, Owner and Nail Technician, opened Renovations in April of 2006. She has been a nail technician for 15 years. She specializes in acrylic nail application and oversees the spa. Her passion is to make people feel good about themselves. She believes everyone deserves to be pampered.

Katie Nash, our full time Nail Technician, was born and raised in Thurmont MD. She graduated from Catoctin High School in 2008. She apprenticed to be a Nail Technician under the Owner of Renovations Salon and Day Spa. Katie enjoys every second of her work! Her specialty is acrylic nail application. Although the clients would argue that her pedicure massage is what keeps them coming back. She considers herself creative, artistic and loves to make people feel great about themselves. Talking to people makes her day! Outside of work shopping and decorating are her favorite things to do.

Kara Sicilia, Nail Tecnician, was born and raised in Thurmont MD. She graduated from Catoctin High School in 1999.  Kara has been doing nails since January of 2008 which is when she graduated from the Frederick School of Cosmetology.

Our stylists are top-notch in cutting, coloring, and styling, and have up-to-the-minute knowledge of the newest beauty trends, fashion looks, and hair care products. Elizabeth Fannin, a Hair Stylist since 1983, has worked at Renovations for five years.  She is a graduate of the Award Beauty School in Hagerstown, MD. She develops hair styles based on clients' facial shapes, features, and texture. She has done hair her entire life and she loves what she does.  Liz believes a hair's design should fit your lifestyle and highlight all of your natural assets. She loves all aspects of hair care! 

Mary Hann, one of Renovations Hair Stylists, has been working with us for a year and a half. She has worked in this industry for 12 years. Her specialties include color, foils, designer hair cuts, waxing, and helping her customers achieve their style at home. She strives to make every client feel welcome and look their best. Mary looks forward to meeting new customers everyday and make new client relationships.

Sandy Copenhaver, one of Renovations Hair Stylists, has been in the field for 15 years. Specializing in color and highlights!  She keeps up on the latest trends and styles to make sure you feel renewed and beautiful every time you leave her chair!  She enjoys helping people relax with giving them rejuvenating facials, manicures and pedicures.  When not in the salon she enjoys spending time loving her son and being with her husband!

Jessica Morin, one of Renovations Hair Stylists, a Mississippi gulf coast resident relocated to Maryland in March 2009 with her husband Chris and son Noah (b.2010). Being in the industry for 4 years, she is always making it a priority to educate herself and keep up with the latest trends and techniques. Specializing in haircuts and styling, color placement, and Bridal /special occasions. Jessica is always striving to please her clients so they leave feeling confidant and beautiful. Jessica is available on Mondays, Wed., Thurs. Fridays and Saturdays. 

Adie Wivell, one of Renovations Hair Stylists, comes to us after graduating from The Temple (Paul Mitchell Partner School) in Frederick, MD.  While in school Adie was awarded several times for top sales, and was also selected to assist several Paul Mitchell stylists at the Baltimore Hair show.  Adie's favorite services include color, foils, designer hair cuts, waxing and making sure her clients are satisfied and able to care for their new hairstyle.  Adie also enjoys doing up-dos and has already performed up-dos for several wedding parties and proms.

Judi Mach, LMT, MARKETING DIRECTOR, is a Maryland Licensed Massage Therapist and has the following education in Massage and Spa Therapy: 620-Hour Massage Therapy Certification Program from Synergy Healing Arts Center and Massage School, Hot Stone Massage, Pre-Natal Massage, Spa Therapy, Face Toning Massage, Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, Reiki I & II, Clinical Massage and is a member of the AMTA. Judi is a resident of Thurmont, MD. 

Mindy Horstman, RMP, one of Renovations Massage Therapists is a Maryland Registered Massage Practitioner and a graduate  of the Heritage Institute.  She desires to promote natural health and wellness through Massage Therapy.  She also integrates trigger point therapy and deep tissue into her massage depending on the needs of her clients. She is intuitive, detail oriented and her massage will leave you both relaxed and invigorated.  Mindy is Certified in PreNatal Massage.
